Taste Asia is an important non-profit event celebrating Asian heritage through food, community, and creativity. This year, the festival welcomed over 60,000 attendees and featured 30+ local businesses representing Asian cultures or drawing inspiration from Asian cuisine, all coming together to share flavours, stories, and traditions.
My Role
I had a variety of roles that included managing the social media accounts for Taste Asia and Off the Eaten Path (a non-profit hosting the event). Additionally, I designed wearable items for the team and volunteers, Taste Asia Merch for raising money, and my favourite part? Wayfinding, Information Signs, and Sponsor Signs!
Demo Kitchen
While food and craft vendors are the heart of Taste Asia, the festival also hosts demo kitchen sessions where chefs from prominent restaurants or businesses present a free, demo cooking session of one of their signature recipes.
Social Media
People reacted positively to our posts, freely asking questions and commenting on the posts. Reels turned out to be the most successful mode of gaining views. I made an illustration asset to save time on designing social media posts.
